| dc.description | This article discusses the familiar influence on the educational mobility of black graduate students. The reports presented are part of a PhD research in Social Psychology developed at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), which investigated the trajectories of blacks in postgraduate studies. The analysis of the reports allows reflections that offer elements that broaden the discussion on the theme of ethnic-racial relations, family and education. Respondents emphasize the importance of family support for the achievement of academic life projects. We also identified that the parents' reduced level of education did not prevent them from accompanying, guiding and contributing to the length of their children's studies. Since childhood, the interviewees have been living with narratives about racism and social inequalities in the family environment and outside it. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este artigo discute a influência familiar na mobilidade educacional de pós-graduandos negros. Os relatos apresentados fazem parte de uma pesquisa de doutorado em Psicologia Social desenvolvida na Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP), que investigou trajetórias de negros na pós-graduação. As análises dos relatos possibilitam reflexões que oferecem elementos que ampliam a discussão sobre o tema das relações étnico-raciais, família e educação. Os pesquisados enfatizam a importância do apoio das famílias para a realização dos projetos de vida acadêmica. Identificamos também que a reduzida escolaridade dos pais não foi impedimento para que eles acompanhassem, orientassem e contribuíssem para a extensão dos estudos dos filhos. Desde a infância, os entrevistados tiveram um convívio com narrativas sobre racismo e desigualdades sociais no ambiente familiar e fora dele. | pt-BR |
