| dc.description | This research is dedicated to an exploratory analysis of the stories published by the newspaper Quilombo, edited by head Abdias Nascimento between 1948 and 1950, about the artistic pedagogical and therapeutic project proposed by the Black Experimental Theatre (TEN). We sought to investigate, through the discussion of the arguments used in the analyzed texts, how the founders of TEN understood the racial issue in Brazil and how they reacted to change this reality. The main themes discussed are the recognition of the racism, Group Therapy seminars, which intended to overcome the problems of the black people, and the fight for the appreciation, as well as the fight for opportunities equality. I conclude with this study that the life of the black people in the country is portrayed in the newspaper as a daily fight against the effects of the slavery regime added to the maintenance of the inequalities and to the racism. The aspirations of the black people, therefore, are that eventually this problem may be overcome, through political articulation, appreciation of the black culture and implementation of affirmative policies. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este trabalho se dedica a uma análise exploratória das matérias publicadas no jornal Quilombo, editadas sob a direção de Abdias Nascimento e Guerreiro Ramos entre 1948 e 1950 sobre o projeto artístico, pedagógico e terapêutico proposto pelo Teatro Experimental Negro (TEN). Buscou-se por meio da discussão dos textos analisados, captar a forma pela qual os intelectuais do TEN enxergavam o problema racial no Brasil e de que maneira eles reagiam para mudar essa realidade. Os principais temas discutidos foram o reconhecimento do racismo, os seminários de Grupoterapia, que visavam a superação dos problemas do negro, e as lutas pelo reconhecimento e igualdade de oportunidades. Concluo, por meio deste estudo, que a vida do negro no país é retratada no jornal como uma luta diária contra os efeitos herdados no regime de escravatura, somada a uma manutenção das desigualdades e ao racismo. As aspirações das pessoas negras são, portanto, de que um dia esse problema seja superado, por meio da articulação política, da valorização da cultura negra e da implementação de políticas afirmativas. | pt-BR |
